Bridging the Gap

FifthDomain's Innovative Journey Through the Cybersecurity Landscape

Matt Wilcox, the founder and CEO of FifthDomain, began his impactful journey at the Australian Signals Directorate, working within the Securities Operations Centre. He later enhanced his expertise at a 'Big 4' consultancy, leading the development of cybersecurity technology and services for Australia’s top intelligence agencies.

In 2014, Matt was invited to lecture in Cyber Security at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA), affiliated with UNSW. There, he not only taught but also developed key components of their Masters of Cyber Security program. It was during his tenure at ADFA that Matt experienced the challenges of setting up practical, hands-on cybersecurity training environments.

This pivotal experience inspired him to launch FifthDomain in 2015. Today, Matt, alongside a dedicated team of over 30 professionals, leverages their extensive operator experience in cybersecurity to enhance organizations' cyber workforce capabilities throughout the entire employee lifecycle.
